Just Add Yellow

I’ve been looking for a great pair of silk cropped pants for awhile now. Every pair I tried on just seemed to be made for someone else. As soon as I saw these pants I knew I had to have them, even if I didn’t love the fit. I mean let’s face it, silk harem-type pants don’t normally equal flattering! Luckily I ended up really liking how they looked and adding a simple yellow tee really made this outfit for me. Hope it’s sunny wherever you are!

Once Upon the Gossip

I wore this outfit last week to an event with a discussion led by Lainey from LaineyGossip. I wasn’t sure what to expect but it turned out to be a fascinating discussion of gossip, celebrities, branding and gender. Almost a week later and I find myself still thinking about everything that was discussed. It has certainly encouraged me to interpret the world of celebrity gossip in a much more critical way. All in all it was a great night and I am so glad I attended! Have you ever been to an event that turned out to be something much more that you expected?

Once Upon a House

I fell in love with this dress the instant I saw it. It’s actually a photograph of a countryside that was transferred onto fabric. I hope you can see all the teeny tiny little houses!

Once Upon a Clutch

These photos were taken our last night in Arizona. This particular outfit combines so many of my favourite things. Neon, stripes and the perfect summer clutch! I guess looking back at the beautiful Arizona landscape and lighting will have to tide me over until Spring decides to show up in Edmonton!

Once Upon a Desert

One of my favorite things about Arizona is the landscape. I have always been attracted to the colors and setting of the desert. It doesn’t hurt that it provides the perfect background for the bright colors I tend to gravitate towards in my wardrobe! I love the contrast it provides. As you can imagine I had a great time taking photos!

Once Upon a Vacation Pt 2

Let me tell you, the current weather in Edmonton is only making me miss Arizona that much more! These photos are from early on in our trip. One of my favourite things about vacations is that you barely have to think about putting together an outfit. A breezy dress and sandals and you’re good to go!

I decided to flip the camera on my boyfriend Dave to document his great style. This is a guy that fearlessly embraces color and I really love that about him. (Yes I might have had some influence in that but hey, he looks good doesn’t he?) That last photo is just us being a bit silly but I really liked the way it turned out so I decided to add it.
